Mountain biking is a world-famous sport. From the first introduction of the mountain bike in late 1970s and 1980s, the activity moves rapidly from being an unknown sport to join the main stream, within the years 1990 to 2000. At its most basic, it is simply a sport which involves a rider astride a customized bicycle traversing on rough terrain.
Mountain biking works in any setting, whether it be your backyard or at the local park. However, for full enjoyment and the thrills of travel associated with it, majority of bikers prefer to do it on off-road trails. Whether country, off-road, single or double tract, these trails are all about excitement. Single trails are favorites among experienced bikers because of their added challenges. These are narrow trails found winding through mountains, forests, deserts or fields. Mountain biking does not only curtail exercise; it is also a means to relax via sightseeing.
Newbies should best study the basic tips of mountain biking prior to starting. The tips are few and easy to memorize. One, you must know your mountain bike well.Keep it always highly maintained mechanically. Whenever mountain biking, always wear safety gear. Always remember to have a bag with tools, parts, water, and food when biking.
